SEBA JAGAT-WOMANITY
In the Kalahandi region of Odisha, the Womanity Foundation, in partnership with the Seba Jagat NGO, is empowering tribal women by helping them gain land ownership. This initiative allows women to secure their livelihoods and attain economic independence.
CiNi
Documented the challenges faced by tribal communities in Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal for Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CiNi). Highlighted their support in farming activities and crop marketing, as part of a CSR and NGO photography and film project aimed at improving livelihoods in these regions.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Documented housing challenges and environmental issues faced by low-income families in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat. Highlighted Habitat for Humanity India's efforts to build homes and provide housing services, showcasing their humanitarian impact as part of a CSR and NGO photography and film project.
MICROSOFT
Documented government schools in Karnataka where teachers use AI copilots developed by Sikshana Foundation and Microsoft Research India. These tools help create better lesson plans and are accessible to a wide range of users, including teachers, farmers, and small business owners, fostering education and community development.
PLASTIC FOR CHANGE
Documented the challenges faced by informal waste collectors in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, highlighting the solutions provided by Plastics For Change. Through their CSR initiatives, Plastics For Change is transforming plastic waste into a resource, improving livelihoods, and creating cleaner, safer communities for waste collectors.
As part of the SWISS-RE CSR and NGO photography and film documentation project, I traveled through the states of Rajasthan and Odisha to capture the real stories of agriculture and dairy farming communities facing significant challenges. The images in this series depict both the difficulties these communities endure and the transformative solutions provided through SWISS-RE’s CSR initiatives and local NGO partnerships.
