Selvaprakash Lakshmanan is a award winning visual artist based in Bangalore and Chennai, India. His work has been acclaimed in esteemed publications/Media such as The New York Times, NYT Lens Blog, Der Spiegel, Forbes, Fortune, OZY, Outlook Traveler, OPEN Magazine, Asian Geo, and New Internationalist, among others. For over a decade, Selvaprakash dedicated himself to visual journalism, crafting compelling narratives for various media outlets. His commitment to storytelling earned him recognition, notably the 2007 Paris Match Award for his Cambodia work. He awarded a fellowship to attend a TPW Changing Idea Workshop in 2007 and secured the prestigious India Press Photo Award in 2008.Selvaprakash's artistic prowess has graced international stages, with exhibitions at renowned festivals such as the World Photojournalism Festival in China (2008), Singapore International Photo Festival (2008), Angkor Photo Festival in Cambodia (2010), and Photovisa International Photo Festival in Russia (2010), Delhi Photo Festival (2011), Lagos Photo Festival in Nigeria (2011), and the United Art Fair (2012), JAPF (2015), Meeting of the young International photographers, Niort, France (2016), Verzasca FOTO Festival, Switzerland (2016), and Landskrona Foto (2019) in Sweden. His accolades include the Robert Bosch Art Grant (2009-2010) and the NFI National Media Fellowship (2011-2012), which enabled him to document the Indian coastline. Selvaprakash's artistic journey reached new heights as he clinched the Grand Prix Winner title at the MAN AND SEA Photography Competition during the II International Festival of Photography Photovisa in Krasnodar, Russia (2010). Commercially, Selvaprakash Lakshmanan has worked with esteemed clients such as Facebook Inc, Mercedes Benz, Microsoft, Brookfield Corporation, CISCO, among others. His works have been showcased in prestigious galleries like the San Francisco Art Commission Gallery and the Time and Space gallery
